wrong answer isn't a bad demo — it's a person. So we cook slow, deliberate, verified, and deeded.
Nothing ships fast at the expense of being right.
OpenDiabetic isn't built for diabetics from the outside. It's built by one — living the full continuum: type 1, lost toes, more than a dozen foot surgeries, the whole road. The product is the help the founder needed and couldn't get: "without a swarm of help, how would I get there?" That's why the model is the swarm — and why it has to be honest. We are our own first user.
Being a slow cooker is a set of deliberate refusals. Each one slows us down on purpose:

The human side of OpenDiabetic costs the people it serves nothing — no charge, no strings. A ride to the doctor. Diabetic shoes shipped. The continuum of care. Funded by recycling sovereign-compute income back into the people. Dignity, not charity. Some of that continuum is LIVE (reminders, organization); some is still FRAMEWORK (the ride network, the shoe-shipping) — and we label which is which, always. Never vaporware.
The entire ecosystem lives in these docs because open-source means verifiable by anyone. The why isn't decoration — it's the reason every page that follows is built the way it is.
